Susan and Tulsi in the Colorado mountains.

I have always loved, and lived with, dogs. In fact, oddly, I was named after a dog - an Irish Setter as it happens. As an adult I have always had working shepherd type dogs, and my son and I got our first English Shepherd, Lucy, in 2008. Well, Lucy was so great, of course we needed another ES, and Bodie joined the family in 2010. Today I have Tulsi, a Lucy/Bodie daughter, and Holly, from my 2024 Tulsi/Grif litter.

Natural Rearing -

My dogs are part of my family, and I raise them the same way I raised my kids, and the same way I live my life - as naturally as possible. It is really about living a more natural lifestyle rather than following a specific set of rules or guidelines. As it pertains to dogs and dog breeding, Natural Rearing essentially means having a natural and holistic approach and philosophy in regards to nutrition, providing a non-toxic living environment, and using holistic medicines if necessary including herbs, homeopathy, essential oils, and supplements. I provide all my puppy buyers with plenty of information regarding feeding and nutrition, spay/neuter considerations, and vaccination decisions, so that they can make informed decisions that fit their own lifestyles.
